Rumour has it that my "real" vocation is to become more like Aragorn with each passing day... #vocation #church #curatelife #lotr #cloak #aragorn #ChurchOfEngland #MiddleEarth #TolkienWasAChristian #Beard #purple #beardedlife #masculinity #Cuthbert
Spent the last couple of days in #Durham for #WinterCongregation where I formally Graduated from both Cranmer Hall and St John's College with a Masters of Arts in Theology and Ministry, with Merit. It marks the end of the seven years of formal theological study and it was a privilege to be able to celebrate it with my Wife @larvedal and my Parents @ruthmthorp and Stephen. Also got to have a great conversation with ++York who knew my Grandfather when he was in Southwark. However, the highlight of the day was a conversation with my dissertation markers who emphasised how much they enjoyed reading my thesis and encouraged me to keep writing - and I will. The last 12 months have been truly significant, and I thank each of you for your friendship and continued support. God bless, and peace be with you.
Great to spend the day with @stormhierta, one of my brothers from the #fraternityofexcellence. A good time of good conversation, food and company.
